Tristan hadn't told anybody but he had just first chemo session today. He didn't want people to know because then they'd feel sympathy for him and Tristan hated that. He had to go to Clara's room for a project despite being tired. He had been nicer this week. Hadn't smoked in any chapels, hadn't flirted with anybody, it got so quiet people thought he had died.
He kept the curtain up between him and Alec. Alec didn't seem to mind. He didn't like Tristan anyway. He put on is beanie and grabbed his laptop and began his walk over to Clara's which was right next door. He knocked on the door and came. "So partner ready to work on the physics assignment?" Tristan asked with a cocky smile. Wow...that required a lot of effort. Tristan was already feeling like falling asleep.
His mom had asked him if he wanted to cancel meeting up with Clara but he shook his head. If he canceled Clara would either think he was an ass or actually figure out what was going on. He couldn't have anyone figuring it out.

Clara was curled up in her bed reading a book when Tristan walked in. She was dreading his arrival, hating the fact that he had gotten paired with her for their physics assignment. She rolled her eyes when he came in. "As ready as I'm going to be," she said. Normally, Clara would have just done the project by herself and put both of their names on it, but she sucked at anything that involved science or math. Physics was her worst subject by far. "Are you any good at physics? Because if you're not, we're screwed." Clara still hadn't looked up from her book, refusing to even look at Tristan.

"Um pretty good at it," Tristan said not meaning it in a cocky manner. He came in her room and at on a chair. He figured he wasn't welcome to sit next to her. "How good are you at it?" Tristan asked. He opened his laptop and looked up their assignment. Physics came easy to him and he was glad for that. He just hates doing projects by himself. It was always so annoying.

Clara shrugged. "I'm alright," she lied, refusing to admit any weakness to Tristan. "So you can start doing the worksheets and stuff, and I'll do the research for the essay." Clara decided that dividing up the work in a way where they wouldn't actually have to work together would be the best way to handle their situation. Clara could barely tolerate the fact that he was even in her room. "And before you even start to think about it, you're not smoking in here," she snapped.

"Yes I'd totally smoke an illegal drug where a nurse can walk in any time," Tristan said. He rolled his eyes and began working on the worksheets. He was done pretty quickly. "Do you need help?" Tristan. Asked. She looked like she was struggling and he didn't want a bad grade on this assignment. She'd probably make some snarky comment about it. He looked like he was gonna fall asleep he was sunk into the chair and was blinking so much just to stay awake.

Clara went to do the research, but none of it made any sense to her. Research was usually the easy part, but she had no idea what it was that she was actually supposed to be researching, so that didn't help at all. "I'm fine," Clara snapped at Tristan when he offered her help. It was frustrating her that he had finished before her. She glanced over at him and noticed him looking like he was about to fall asleep. "Don't you dare fall asleep on my couch," she said.

"I'm not trying to," Tristan replied back rolling his eyes. "Just let me help if you don't understand it because its clear you don't," Tristan said not meaning to sound mean it just kind of came out. He really just wanted to finish so he could go back in his room and sleep. He didn't think the chemo would have that much of an effect on him.
Tristan sighed and stood up. He looked over at her paper. "Here," Tristan explained to her the problem and had to solve it even though he was sure now he was gonna get yelled at for helping.

Clara listened to Tristan since he didn't seem to give her a choice in the matter, and she really did need the help. Once he was done she simply said, "I could have figured that out myself." Then she continued working. Tristan wasn't really doing anything bad, but Clara had already written him off as a terrible person, and so she just didn't want to be around him. Whenever she didn't like someone, she never gave them a chance to redeem themselves unless they showed serious effort.

"Stop being such a bitch," Tristan hasn't meant to say it. It just kind of cam out. "I-uh sorry I don't mean to say that," he sai awkwardly. He knew she wouldn't understand o maybe she would and wouldn't care. He just tired around and closed his laptop and thought about just leaving.

Clara rolled her eyes. "You're one to talk," she said under her breath. Tristan's insult didn't actually hurt her feelings. It just made her more angry with Tristan. Clara had been called many worse names than that, and she'd learned to deal with it so it didn't hurt her. But it still affected her in a way.
Clara just scoffed at his apology. "So what? You didn't mean all of the other horrible things you've said and done to me too?" she said, finally looking away from the computer to look him in the eye.

"I didn't say that. I said I didn't mean to call you a bitch," Tristan said. He didn't even bother looking at Clara bane was probably busy giving him her death glare. Tristan wasn't a liar. He said the truth. When he truly didn't mean to say something he apologized.

Clara just shook her head. "Whatever," she said. Clara remembered reading something about how brain cancer can affect a person's personality, but she didn't think that was the case with Tristan. He wasn't at a stage with his cancer where it would turn him into a dick, but Clara seriously hoped he would never get there or she would probably end up murdering him. Nope, his personality wasn't caused by his cancer. He was just a huge dick for no reason. At least, that's what she thought.

"Why do you hate ms so much?" Tristan asked out of nowhere. "I'm not as mean as you think I am," Tristan said unsure what else to say. He finally met his gaze with Clara. He messed around and he had fun but no Clara hated that. Why would anyone want to have fun here?

Clara raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you seriously asking me that?" Clara thought it was fairly obvious why she disliked him so much. "You're rude. You're selfish. You're just mean most of the time. The first time I met you, you were smoking pot in the one place I actually felt safe. Do you expect me to be okay with all of that? Because if you do then you're a lot more ignorant than I thought." Clara glared at him, but she was curious to see his reaction. Clara liked calling people out on their shit. It made her feel good for whatever reason.

I have a giant tumor that's what Tristan really wanted to say. Just by saying that it'd back up everything. Not everything was based off his tumor though. He liked to be funny that's what he enjoyed. "Didn't think I was being rude," Tristan simply said. He looked at the door way and contemplated just leaving. This conversation was going nowhere b
