Alec was feeling better but he had to convince Leah to let him go out. It didn't take much for her to decide to let him go. They went up to the nurse. The nurse kept saying no until ashton saod he'd go to. Eventually the nurse agreed as long as Ashton and Leah were there too and if he went in his wheel chair.
Alec was happy sitting in the car. It had been a year since he had gone to the mall and a month since he got put of the hospital. Clara was right next to him and Alec smiled at all the lights. They had three hours to do everything and their goal was to decorate the room. Tristan would have to deal.
They finally got to the mall and Alec got in the wheel chair. "Can we get actual food please! Oh my gosh can we get Starbucks! " ....it had been a long time sense Alec actually got out to do things. "They have the peppermint Frappuccinos?"

Clara laughed a little at how excited Alec got, but she completely understood why. She felt the same way, even if she didn't show it that much. Getting to go out and do things was a rare occasion for the two of them. Plus it was Christmas, which was Clara's favorite holiday. Last year she hadn't gotten to completely enjoy Christmas, as Emmett had died a few weeks before the holiday.

Ashton love Christmas. But not because of the presents or anything like that. He just loved the spirit and the family. But this year he got to spend it with Leah, which made it even better. They'd only been dating for a little while, but Ashton was happier than he had been in a long time. He laughed a little at Alec's enthusiasm. "Sure, let's go to starbucks," he said.

Alec began wheeling into the mall before Leah let go and helped Alec by pushing him. Alec looked at Clara. "We need those phone led light things so if it's like orange that means I want sex buddy and if it's red it means I'm mad or murder Tristan." Alec teased.

Clara laughed at Alec and Leah. "And as his older sister, you should be all for him not dying a virgin, right?" Clara teased. She walked next to Alec with one hand on his wheelchair, just in case his arms got tired or something.

Ashton raised an eyebrow at Alec at the mention of murdering Tristan. "If you do murder him, I'll help," Ashton said with a laugh. Ashton wasn't a big fan of Tristan, but no one really was.

"He wrapped up my boyfriend's car all because I liked someone," Leah pointed out. She looked at Clara and Alec. They finally got to Starbucks and she ordered all the drinks because she got money from her mom so she didn't mind.
She decided to sit down cause Alec had a wheel chair.

She rolled her eyes at the mention of Tristan. "God, that boy is disgusting. Just sickening, I swear." Clara hated Tristan more than she'd ever hated anyone, and that was saying something.

Every person she'd ever met who had cancer was kind in a way that no one without cancer could possibly understand. The feeling of inevitable and awful death usually had that affect on people. But it was different with Tristan, for whatever reason. "You know I caught him smoking pot in the chapel? I mean, who does that?" she said.

Ashton's eyebrows furrowed. "He's smoking in the hospital? Well, I'll deal with that, if I can. Might make your life a little bit easier," he said. Ashton wasn't big on drugs. He didn't judge anyone who did them, and he was completely aware of the benefits that marijuana had for medical issues, but he still would never do them. And he didn't like the idea of a minor doing them either.

"Clara we should get cheesie Christmas sweaters!" Alec decided. "And we should go to Target to get decorations," Alec decided. He had this all planned out and the reason he did was kind of depressing.

Clara nodded enthusiastically. "Definitely. Oh my gosh, we should get onesies!" she said excitedly. Clara and Alec's reason for being so enthusiastic about Christmas may have been morbid, but at least they were happy. Clara was actually excited about Christmas this year, where last year she refused to accept any presents or give any either.

"Yes!" Alec decided as they made their way to jcpennies just cause it'd probably have really cheesy stuff since all their stuff sucked. He found a Christmas sweater than was red with green sparkles that read 'merry Christmas'. And had a snowman and a reindeer hugging on it. He didn't know why he liked it so much but e did. He thought it wa funny.

Clara walked through the aisles of ugly Christmas sweaters, and she couldn't help but laugh. "Why would anyone actually wear these unless they were deliberately trying to embarrass themselves?" she said. Then she found a white sweater with a little snowman family on it. It was practically covered in sequins and beads. Clara held it up in front of her. "How about this one?" she asked Alec.

Clara nodded. "My mom said she'd bring Stella and Theo by in the afternoon after they have Christmas morning at my grandparents house," she said. Clara wasn't completely thrilled about the idea of spending Christmas with her mother, but she loved her siblings. "My dad's bailing. Shocker, right?" Then Clara corrected herself. "Never mind, sorry. Be positive, Clara." Christmas was going to be fun no matter what her family decided to do.

"I think my mom is coming," Alec looked over at Leah to see. Leah shrugged honestly not sure. Their mom sometimes came sometimes didn't.
"Are we done or are you guys getting pjs too,?"Leah asked remembering them saying something about that. Leah had her arms around Ashton because they were picking out sweaters and Leah was cold and figured they stopped for now anyway.
