Okay, so, everyone here seemed to have some kind of story some trigger of some sort but definitely not Heather, it was no lie that she just wanted to go home but for a couple of weeks the doctors just wanted to keep her at the hospital, just to be safe. A couple of weeks was turning into a slow and dreary month though, nothing had ceased though, Heather was still tired without doing anything and pain was still apparent throughout her body. No cure, no cure for fibromyalgia. Resting her head in her hand, Heather had a book in front of her, studying for the day well and truly over, aka Heather was subtly hiding at the back of the room, avoiding any form of work.
Flicking the page idly, Heather's eyes drifted up to notice someone watching at her. Uh, so far Heather had endured little human interaction around here, not wanting to grow attached to the place. "Can I help you?" Heather asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Not many people in the library hakf the timw was just staring at the rare site pkus I dont know you." Alec said with a smirk. Alec was in the lubrary reading before he saw the girl who was also there, Alec smiked at the girl,"Mu namw is Alec." Like alec had mention earlier him and Clara were like the welcoming committee like welcome to the hospital well be your friends until you die or go home and forgwt about us.

Now was the time of decisions, make an acquaintance or get up and walk away? Well, maybe Alec would come in useful somehow, like how to get a better phone connection around here. "Nobody here knows me," Heather commented, before sighing and closing the page of her book, moving from her table to his. "I'm Heather and I'm not dying," as far as she knew anyway, although she was pretty sure that even though there was no cure it wasn't life threatening.

"I'm Alec and I am dying." Alec said with a smile that made you womder how could anyone dying be smiling. Alec just gave up caring that he was dying. It was clear he was sick with a cold, his eyes droopy from no sleep and his nose red, if you didn't know his past he didn't look like he was dying he just looked sick and frail because he was way underweight not that he could helo that.

Oh. Suddenly everything seemed serious and part of Heather's little bubble of ignorance popped, just ever so slightly. "So, are you going to get better? Or..." Trailing off, Heather flicked at the pages of her book, enjoying the sensation as the pages brushed against her fingers, just a light feathery touch as opposed to a poke which would make her flinch and possibly cry.

Wow, what a morbid thought. "Clearly," Heather muttered, wanting to crack her fingers but knowing that that would probably hurt. "So, is it cancer?" Heather had no idea as to why she was being so blunt, she just wanted answers to be honest.

"Yeah lymphoma. " Alec said. "And by the way you get used to it if I told ypu ten months ago I was dying I probably would've started crying. "Alec shrugged. After watching all your friwnds die how could you be more scared of death. Death hapoened every day here you had to fet used to it and stop worrying that ypu may be next.

"I'm pretty sure it's not a thing most people have to get used to." Heather was most definitely not about to start getting used to it anytime soon. Should she now tell him why she was there? Was there some kind of etiquette here? Unsure as to where to go from here, Heather just looked down at her hands for a moment, tilting them this way and that as she waited for a pointer from Alec, hospital small talk was not her forte.

"Do you want me to rephrase what i just said? Because honestly right now, I should be at home binge watching some TV show whilst my best friend whines to me about her boyfriend. But no, I'm here talking to people who think death is a perfectly normal thing to get used to." Occasionally Heather went off on one, this was one of those times. Her best friend hadn't come to visit her yet, a fact which was worrying her more than it should, after all, she was the one in hospital.

"No need to act like people here aren't people because they got used to the fact that they may die," Alec muttered under his breath. He looked over at the books. He didn't unde how people could be so bitter those people annoyed him.

Heather was entirely sure as to what he'd said, nor why she sure as to whether she'd like to know or not. "I'm in here for Fibromyalgia, which is stupid because most people don't go into hospital for it." Where was she going with this? Heather sighed, tugging at the tips of her hair. "In case you were wondering why i was here." She added after a pause.

Alec nodded,"I've seen kids here for that before." Alec said not sure what else to say. "Sorry about getting somewhat defensive earlier." Alec said.

"Me too, I guess I'm still getting used to this whole prison like feel." Dropping her hair, Heather felt reassured by the fact that apparently she wasn't the only person who had come into the hospital for her condition. "So, since this is a prison what do people do for, y'know, fun?"
